Size
The standard UK size for number plates are 520mm by 111mm.
For all legal plates please upload your ID & documentation when adding to the cart to prevent any delays in your order. All legal plates come with the BSAU number and company name and post code on the number plates.
Legal Plates - PLEASE READ
Road legal plate styles:
Please be aware that in accordance with legal requirements, our number plates include our company name, postcode, and BSAU number. The font style across all our plates follows the Charles Wright design, which is the authorised UK road font, ensuring compliance with regulations. The DVLA has confirmed that 3D/4D characters are road legal and comply within the law. These style of number plates are also MOT compliant.
SHOW PLATES – PLEASE READ
A show plate is exactly what the name suggests: a decorative plate for display purposes only. Although our show plates are made using the same high-quality materials as legal number plates, they do not meet DVLA regulations and must not be used on UK roads.
Show plates are commonly used for non-road vehicles, such as classic cars kept in garages or showrooms, and by car enthusiasts for modified or track-only vehicles. They are also ideal for track days or photo shoots when you don’t want your real registration on display. However, they must never be used as a substitute for legal number plates on public roads.
When entering your text, please include the exact spacing you want. If you leave the spacing out, the plate will be produced without spacing. Once an order has been placed and produced, it cannot be changed, and no refunds can be issued for customer errors. If you would like to discuss spacing, please contact us at info@nfplates.co.uk before ordering.
Important: If the characters entered resemble or could be interpreted as a real UK registration number, we will not produce or dispatch the plate. Show plates are for decorative use only and cannot replicate actual registrations.
Production and delivery timescales
Orders will be made and shipped between Monday to Saturday and sent out using Evri for standard delivery and next day services.
Your number plates will be dispatched within 24 hours after you place your order with us.
Kindly be aware that we do not send out shipments on weekends or during bank holidays. We appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
